Georgina Bernice Hill

June 12, 1938 - November 5, 2022

With great sadness, the Garafraxa Hill family announces the loss of its own matriarch, Georgina Bernice Hill of Meaford. With her family at her side, Georgina passed at Meaford Hospital on Saturday, November 5, at the age of 84. Loving mother of Timothy Glen Garrett of San Diego and Anne Bernice Garrett-Ward (Tom Juffs) of Grey Highlands. Doting and proud Nana of Jenna Alise Ward, Andreé Nichole Ward (Craig Conti), Kelsey Anne Garrett (Matthew Kelly), Andrew Renick Ward, Luke Patrick Garrett (Callie Torresean), and Michelle Elizabeth Ward (Sean Flynn). Great-grandmother of Lillian Elizabeth Flynn. Survived by her siblings Ronald Hill (Dorothy) of Markdale, and Lucille Sewell (Ken) of Meaford, and in-laws Larry Garrett (Myrna) and Gary Garrett, all of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by Jeffery Renick Ward, and her many nieces, nephews, and neighbours of her Maple Meadows Community. She will also be missed by her Garafraxa Hill family, Linda Ceaser (Larry), Joyce Downey (Bob), and Terry McKay (Penny). Missing her terribly are her fur-babies, Pippa, Bucko, Michelle, and Little Man. Predeceased by her parents George and Lorna Hill (nee Chard), daughter-in-law Lise Garrett, Glen Garrett, and Ross Garrett.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 11, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 12, DLM Kara McCluskie officiating, at the Garafraxa Hill Funeral Home, 251 Garafraxa St., Chatsworth ON. Interment Markdale Cemetery. Special thanks to Dr. Thor Ellingson, and the palliative care staff at Meaford Hospital.
