Remembering Anne Cathrae
From: Allyson Hibma
My deepest condolences to all of Anne's family. I met Anne while working for the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority back in 1997. Anne became my most dedicated volunteer. She was a steady presence by my side during the prolonged preparations for the yearly dinner and auction, as well as all the hours she spent working on the Memorial Forest Plaques and Ceremony. Her dedication was so very much appreciated, but the friendship I gained was irreplaceable. I will miss you a lot my dear friend, you hold a very special place in my heart. I hope you and Stan can finally derive pleasure watching the Attack together! Love Allyson

Condolences to Anne's family. Anne and I go back a long way to when the Grey Sauble Conservation Foundation first started up. Anne was one of the first to sign up to be on the board of the Grey Sauble Conservation Foundation and as the staff person assigned to get the Foundation up and running, she was my righthand woman in all things. She was knowledgeable, thought with her head, and wasn't afraid to say what needed to be said. But oh so kind as well. I will miss her laugh, her sense of humour and her wryness. Say 'Hi' to Stan for me Anne.

It was my good fortune to work with Anne at George Kennedy Public School, she was a talented and professional educator! Anne cared deeply for her students, worked collaboratively with her peers and fostered life long friendships. I was proud to know her and my condolences go out to her entire family!

My kind condolences to all of Anne’s family. I worked in Anne’s classroom with a special needs child and she also taught my daughter. Her perfectionism, knowledge and skills helped many children. May she rest peacefully

Anne was a beloved teacher at George Kennedy school in Georgetown, and one of 6 of us who retired in the same year. Anne joined our retired "Wednesday Ladies Lunch" group and regularly made the trip to Georgetown to join us. She shared stories of her life in Own Sound and her passion for the natural world. Anne's cheerful, positive nature and wry sense of humour will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

My sincere condolences to Anne’s dear family. I know how important you were to Anne. Anne and I knew each other through shared interests: the OSFN, the Huron Fringe Birding Festival, and our cottages on the Peninsula. I thought the world of Anne. She was reserved and sincere, hard-working and practical, meticulous and organized. She will be remembered and missed.

To Anne’s family. My sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one. Anne was such a great friend and a member of our retired Kennedy group who have lunch a few times a year. She also taught my son Scott in Grade 2. Scott passed away with ALS but would have been 60 on Valentines Day so our friendship goes back many years. I also taught with Stan . I was so touched when Anne as sick as she was came to Georgetown for my husband’s funeral in Nov and thankful that her sister came with her. I will miss Anne’s friendship but I am thankful she no longer has to suffer. Rest in peace my friend. You will not be forgotten!
